I guess what most people will be bothered with is where are the list of controls? (after pressing every single freaking key on the keyboard, I've found that you need to press shift to reload) Besides that, there's several other quirks. First, you can't kill enemies who are already attacking, which hurts the tension of the game slightly while being frustrating - there's nothing like putting that split-second shot or sword slash before you get bitten. Second, there's no score to speak of, so replayability is questionable. Finally, the fact that the sword can be swiped so quickly while killing everything in one hit makes the pistol nothing more than an accessory.

Re: Resident Evil - Posted on December 31, 1969, 7:33 pm

Feels like those really old-school NES games with a resident evil reference slapped on. You should remember that those were over 20 years ago, so you shouldn't waste your time playing this crap. If you do enjoy resident evil media, you're better off watching degeneration or playing RE 1-5.

Randomness is through the roof, sometimes 2 turns could spread the virus to the entire continent, sometimes 10 turns could yield absolutely no results.

If you're going for a good score, you almost always have to start the game over and over until your starting zone is a waterlocked continent such as Greenland or the South Pacific. As the only way to spread the virus to those areas is to have a lucky airplane travel to those destinations.

Even the cure researches are pretty ridiculous. Countries can either successfully immunize themselves, or fail in the progress fully even as they completed 5/5 progress of the cure.

When high scores reward huge lucky streaks much more than any flawless strategy you could ever come up with - you know that the game should really be placed in the same category as poker and slots.

An extremely half-assed game that isn't worth your time.

Once you played for about 10 minutes, you'll quickly realize that the game is nothing more than a crazy click fest.

Also, they apparently failed high school physics as they didn't know that infrared (not infa red) is actually invisible to the naked eye and not literally red in colour.

Re: The Last Stand - Posted on December 31, 1969, 7:33 pm

There really isn't many different ways to win - you MUST get the Barrett SASR or you CANNOT win. It doesn't differentiate itself much from most other kill or die zombies games out there, besides the fact that you actually can win. 3 out of 5 at most. The Last Stand 2 is easily 10 times better, check that out instead.
